Please note that individual special prices, benefits and conditions may differ, so please keep this in mind when making reservations. (However, corporate priority benefits only apply when issuing corporate priority tickets)

Service overview

This service allows you to upgrade your seat at a special price depending on the flight reservation status on Asiana Airlines regular international flights.
This service is limited to selected flights based on reservation status, and applicable flights and applicable classes may change at any time.
Therefore, please note that even if you purchase a higher class ticket to apply for this service, that flight may not be eligible for this service.
You can apply for this service on the website and mobile app between 96 and 24 hours before flight departure.
After completing the “Upgrade Application” through payment, you must check whether or not the upgrade has been confirmed through the website/mobile app 3 hours before flight departure.
This service provides Business Class seats and in-flight meals only, and all other services are provided on an Economy Class basis.
Even if you complete the “Upgrade Application” through payment, the upgrade has not been confirmed.
Service applications can be closed 24 hours prior to departure depending on the number of Business Class seats and airline circumstances.
Even if you received an upgrade confirmation notice, upgrades may not be possible on the day of check-in due to airline circumstances such as aircraft type changes.
In addition, if a violation of regulations is determined during check-in, the upgrade will be canceled.

Upgrade requests will be automatically received at the time of payment and closed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Confirm Results

Standby results can be viewed on the website or mobile app.

Passengers who have paid for a regular flight ticket issued by our airline can apply for the service. (Tickets starting with 988)
Codeshare flights, some tickets purchased from travel agencies, and group reservations are not eligible to apply.
Passengers with accompanying infants, child passengers and their guardians, passengers requesting special in-flight meals, passengers with accompanying pets (carried on board), passengers using the Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service, passengers with cabin baggage, passengers with extra seats (EXST), passengers using mileage, and passengers purchasing paid seats, etc. are not eligible to apply.
Customers who have completed online check-in cannot apply for this service.
If you select “Consent to receive marketing” on the website, you will be notified automatically when the flight you have reserved is selected as an upgrade standby flight. (e-mail, SMS, etc.)

Notes

If an upgrade is made when an advance seat reservation already exists, the previous seat assignments will be automatically canceled.
Business Class seats will be randomly assigned. (Seats may be separated when several passengers apply)
Some tickets purchased through travel agencies and group tickets may not be eligible for purchase.
If you change your flight schedule on the website after you paid for this service, your upgrade standby service application will be automatically canceled and refunded.
For tickets purchased from a travel agency, after changing your schedule through a travel agency, you must separately apply for a refund for this service through the Asiana Airlines Reservation Center.
If the customer requests it or if the upgrade is unavailable due to the application result, a full refund will be given.
If the itinerary includes unconfirmed segments, it may not be possible to apply for the service.
Some airports may incur additional costs, such as business class airport taxes and fuel surcharges. (Hong Kong, Delhi, London, Paris, United States, etc.)
For flights to and from the U.S., refunds are available without exception in the event of a major change, such as a cancellation or a delay of 6 hours or more. (In compliance with U.S. DOT consumer policy)
