6. Miles accumulated by Magic Miles, Silver and Gold Members are based on the membership status of boarding of their mileage accrual date from October 1,2008. Those accumulated miles will be valid Until the last day (Dec. 31) of the 10th year from the date of boarding or accumulation. Diamond Members or higher Elite members are based on the membership status at point of their mileage accrual date from October 1, 2008. Those accumulated miles will be valid Until the last day (Dec. 31) of the 12th year from the date of boarding or accumulation. Miles that are not used within the valid term will expire. Miles accumulated on or before September 30, 2008 have no expiry date. The expiry date is based on the date of boarding the Asiana Airlines or partner airline flights. The expiry date of other miles, including partners’ miles, is based on the date of accrual.

7. All Asiana Club regulations are subject to change after 3 months’ prior notice when there is a justifiable reason, such as: in the event that such change is unavoidable in order to balance the regulations of business partner airlines in relation to the enactment, amendment, and repeal of relevant laws, the initiation or change of international business partnerships with other airlines, etc.; in the event that such change is necessary to correct imbalances in the mileage system caused by significant fluctuations in the price of general flight tickets; in the event that unforeseen sudden changes in aviation demand or other force majeure events that may cause a serious crisis in the aviation industry continue for a considerable period of time; and, in the event that such change is unavoidable due to a serious deterioration in the national economy, a sharp decline in the national credit rating, or other significant changes in economic conditions equivalent to the above. Asiana Airlines will notify you of any changes to the Asiana Club rules on the website, and notify you separately through your registered e-mail. However, for mileage accrued by a member prior to the effective date of the regulation change, the deduction criteria before the change shall apply for award tickets (including seat upgrade awards) that are paid for using mileage deduction up to 12 months from the effective date.
6. ① From October 1, 2008, according to your membership status at the time of boarding or earning mileage, miles accumulated through Magic Miles, Silver, and Gold memberships will be valid until December 31 of the 10th year, miles accumulated through Diamond or higher Elite memberships will be valid until December 31 of the 12th year, and mileage not used within the validity period will expire. However, the validity period does not apply to mileage earned up to September 30, 2008. The validity period will apply from the date of boarding for mileage accumulated on Asiana Airlines or partner airlines, and from the date accumulated in the member’s account for other mileage, including affiliates. ② Notwithstanding Paragraph 1, in the event that the use of mileage for bonus flight ticket issuances or seat upgrades for all members is impossible or significantly restricted due to a suspension or significant reduction in the supply of air passenger transportation, Asiana Airlines may extend the validity period of mileage after announcing such on the website in advance and sending individual notifications to members.

7. ① All Asiana Club regulations are subject to change after 3 months’ prior notice when there is a justifiable reason, such as: in the event that such a change is unavoidable in order to balance the regulations of business partner airlines in relation to the enactment, amendment, and repeal of relevant laws, the initiation or amendment of international business partnerships with other airlines, etc.; in the event that such a change is necessary to correct imbalances in the mileage system caused by significant fluctuations in the price of general flight tickets; in the event that unforeseen sudden changes in aviation demand or other force majeure events that may cause a serious crisis in the aviation industry continue for a considerable period of time; and, in the event that such a change is unavoidable due to a serious deterioration in the national economy, a sharp decline in the national credit rating, or other significant changes in economic conditions equivalent to the above. Asiana Airlines will notify you of any changes to the Asiana Club rules via the website, and notify you separately through your registered e-mail. However, for mileage accrued by a member prior to the effective date of the regulation change, the deduction standards applicable before the change shall apply for award tickets (including seat upgrade awards) that are paid for using mileage deduction up to 12 months from the effective date. In this case, Asiana Airlines may implement services that allow mileage to be used easily according to the deduction standards during the period in which the system before the change is applied.② Notwithstanding the proviso of Paragraph 1, in the event that the use of mileage for award ticket issuances or seat upgrades for all members is impossible or significantly restricted due to a suspension or significant reduction in the supply of air passenger transportation, Asiana Airlines may apply the system before the change for a period of 12 months or more from the effective date of the regulation change, after announcing such on the website in advance and sending individual notifications to members.
