Asiana Airlines is looking to, under the member's consent, collect personal information in order to manage and provide top of the line services along with marketing activities
• Membership management and service provision: Membership registration and use of membership services, personal identification, confirmation of intention to join, provision of benefits based on service contract, handling of complaints, etc.
• Marketing and advertising use: newsletters, promotions, events, new services, affiliate services, etc.

Asiana Airlines collects private information through a written application or on the website. Apart from membership registration, additional information and usage history records may be collected when using our services (Family member registration, Purchase of flight ticket, Air boarding, Purchase of goods, Website use, etc).
B. Items of Private Information Collection
• Requirements: Korean/English Name, Date of birth, Gender, Phone number (Mobile Phone number), Email, Current Place of Residence, Connecting Information (CI), Self-Verification Number (i-PIN, My-PIN), Username, Password
• Optional items: Company Name, Department, Position, Direct Line Number, Address, Zip Code
• Additional Required Information for application of members under the age of 14: Guardian's name, date of birth, E-mail, relationship with the member, information on guardian's consent

Asiana Airlines manages privacy information on a consignment basis as described below for successful service operations and manages trustees for the protection of private information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

4. Items and Purpose of Private Information for Disclosures to a Third Party
A. Asiana Airlines does not disclose the personal information of members to any third party without the consent of the member (except in cases where it is required by law to do so).
If a member uses the services of a partner of Asiana Airlines, the personal information of the member may be disclosed to a minimal extent.

B. Asiana Airlines is responsible for damages caused in relation to the use of private information members have provided for purposes other than collection, or for disclosure to a third party without consent, excluding the circumstances described in the above paragraph. If a member discloses his or her private information intentionally or out of negligence; provides false information; or has failed to report changes in private information, causing discrepancies, the above provision is not applicable.
5. Terms of Maintenance and Use of Private Information
A. Asiana Airlines will dispose a member’s private information within a day through deletion of member DB and disposal of documents in the following circumstances: if a member withdraws from Asiana Club; if a member is disqualified; if the purpose of collection has been achieved; or if Asiana Airlines closes its business. Records maintained under the applicable laws and regulations, including the Act on Consumer Protection in e-commerce, are disposed after being kept for a fixed period of time. (Records on contracts or cancellation of transactions: five years; records on customer complaints and handling of conflicts: three years)
B. If there are no records of an Asiana member logging in to our website in the past 5 year or has not earned or redeemed miles for 5 year, it is stored and managed separately in a separate database. (DB) Such accounts can only be reactivated through an identity verification process. Once reactivated, the members can fully enjoy the benefits of the Asiana Club.
6. Procedure and Method of Disposal of Privacy Information
A. Procedure of Disposal
- The information entered by users for membership registration, etc., is disposed after the purpose has been achieved in accordance with internal policies and other information protection reasons under relevant laws.
- This private information will not be used for any purpose other than that for which it is retained unless required by law.

A. Asiana Airlines shall seek the consent of a legal representative before collecting and using the private information of a child under the age of 14 or disclosing such information to a third party. Therefore, child under the age of 14 can register their information only with the consent of their legal representative.
B. A member or a legal representative of the child under the age of 14 may demand to view, correct, withdraw, and cancel consent on the use of private information. If such a request is made, Asiana Airlines will take necessary action without any delay after the personal identification of the applicant and the legal representative.
