Xi’an, a Chinese city with 5,000 years of history
City Description

As the saying goes, “to see China’s 5,000-year history, travel to Xi’an; to see China’s 500-year history, travel to Beijing; but to see the future, travel to Shanghai.” Xi’an is an indispensable city in Chinese history. It served as the capital of 13 dynasties including Zhou, Qin, Han, Hsi, and Tang. Along with Athens, Rome and Cairo, it is also one the world’s four oldest cities. The former name of Xi’an was Chang’an, and there is a saying that the phrase ‘Changan eui hwajae (the talk of the town)’ originated from here. To us, Xi’an is famous for the Terracotta Army and Hua Qing Chi. It is a world-famous tourist city visited by more than one million foreign tourists every year. Xi’an attracts attention as a center of western development within China. Every year, more and more people are visiting China with their children on historical trips. Get a sense of China in Xi’an, which has various attractions such as Buddhist sites, mountain climbing sites, etc., as well as history.
