Clark Field is a small town where the US Air Force Base used to be located. After the US Air Force withdrew in 1991, the town has since built a golf course and various entertainment facilities and tourist attraction sites including Subic and Pinatubo, attracting the attention of tourists. It is not well known among KOrean tourists yet, but it is quite popular among golf enthusiasts, as many golf courses were built for Americans because it is where the American troops were once stationed. Americans are careful about the environment, so golfing in Clark, Philippines is very environmentally friendly.
Relaxing with a traditional Philippines massage after a game of golf is a must on the Clark Golf tour. Besides golf, there is a tourist attraction in Clark that must be visited - Mount Pinatubo, a dormant volcano that erupted in June 1991. At the time of the volcano explosion, the amount of volcanic ash was estimated to reach 5 billion tons. The path where the lava once flowed is now a tracking course. When you climb Mount Pinatubo, you will see clear traces of lava and volcanic ash. Hikers are flock from all around the world to climb this mountain. You will take the 4-wheel Jeep ride to half way up the mountain and the hike is about 4 hours round trip. The slope is gentle enough for anyone to climb.
